SeptiTech® STAAR™ Filter Systems Utilizing an enhanced, biological, unsaturated media filter process, the SeptiTech® STAAR™ Systems are designed for direct discharge or water reuse in mind.

Ideal for HS-STP® (High Strength-Sewage Treatment Plant) projects, such as small communities, to offer lower cost options versus centralized sewering. This simple-in-design and easy-to-install MyFAST® is a pre-packaged, decentralized treatment system for up to 160,000 gal/day (600 m3/d).

Exceeding typical treatment effluent requirements of the local regulations, this system produces high-quality effluent that provides new opportunities for wastewater recycling techniques.

Commercial & High-Strength Wastewater Treatment Systems

Our commercial systems offer wastewater treatment versatility and consistently high performance for properties with retail or wholesale trade, hotel, restaurant, offices, clinics, warehouses, light manufacturing, and other such uses.

SeptiTech® STAAR™ Filter Systems Utilizing an enhanced, biological, unsaturated media filter process, the SeptiTech® STAAR™ Systems are ETV-EPA verified and NSF/ANSI Standard 40/245 certified.  

Simple in design and easy to install, the MyFAST® wastewater treatment system adds the Lixor® XD Submerged Aeration System as an effective pretreatment zone to reduce the levels of Nitrogen, BOD, TSS and better sludge management in the treatment zone.

Available to meet the needs and challenges of high strength wastewater found in restaurants, schools, trailer parks, office buildings, commercial properties and other high-strength waste applications. These specialized applications often have biological loading (BOD) and grease (FOG) levels that are significantly higher than standard sanitary-strength sewage.

Designed for second stage nitrification and denitrification to meet higher levels of nitrogen reduction for systems with direct discharge into lakes, streams and lagoons or properties with higher levels of ammonia influent.

Specifically designed for water reuse applications, the BioBarrier® HSMBR® produces high-quality effluent that provides new opportunities for wastewater recycling techniques.

Marine

Marine Sanitation and Wastewater Treatment Systems

MarineFAST® Systems are commonly referred to as a Type II (two) MSD biological (aerobic digestion) treatment system.

The Type II MSD systems are powerful, flow-through discharge devices and tested in conditions described in 33 CFR 159.121.

MarineFAST® Marine Sewage Treatment Marine and offshore sewage treatment systems built to handle extreme environments. All MarineFAST® (Fixed Activated Sludge Treatment) units are fully certified by US Coast Guard under U.S. and IMO regulations.

Grease

Grease Management & FOG Maintenance

Fats, oils and grease (FOG) waste poses a challenge for most municipal wastewater collection systems and treatment plants. Although fats, oils and grease will biodegrade in an anaerobic digester, high concentrations will tend to accumulate on the sludge surface, lowering digestion efficiency.

Whether water originates from precipitation or enters the system from dry weather events or other sources, our stormwater treatment system treats surface runoff containing trash/debris, sediment, oil, and other pollutants from stormwater flows.

Pre-engineered stormwater treatment system designed to remove trash, sediment, oil and other pollutants from stormwater flows. With 5 sizes available, the versatility of the system (pre-screening device StormTEE® and specially designed BioSTORM® FAST® unit) to be used separately for different applications.

Patented and easy to clean, the StormTEE® is ideally suited for the simple, affordable removal of trash/litter/debris and associated pollutants from stormwater flows in a variety of applications. StormTEE® litter control screens are easy to install in both new construction projects and perfect for retrofits.

Towards sustainability, from adaptive reuse to new construction, environmentally-conscious property owners are looking for ways to offset the limited supply and rising cost of potable water resources.

While other technologies have been around for hundreds of years, our innovative, proven, certified technologies meet the treatment needs for residential, community, and commercial properties.  Bio-Microbics offers actual, full treatment of all the blackwater, graywater, drainage/dewatering/sump water, storm water, and/or rainwater; not containment, dilution, gray-water-only, or partial treatment in the way that other systems do.

Onsite water treatment and “Water Reuse Systems” are implemented as a “cutting-edge,” green-building strategy, and certain areas of the world are mandating it. In the case of California, it has adopted NSF 350 (for blackwater/graywater treatment) into its plumbing code for water recycling.  Because of the environmental benefits, water savings, new, stringent regulations, and potential incentives that accrue, using treated wastewater as an alternate water source is a better on-site water management system.

For residential, community, and commercial properties focused on ways to save, treat, and transport potable water to where they really need it, our systems satisfy most potential green-building ”Water Efficiency” requirements to supplement or replace potable water for lawn and garden irrigation, car washing, ponds and fountains, toilet flushing, and many other situations where using treated and transported potable water is unnecessary.

Our systems all have one or more of the following certifications:  NSF/ANSI Standard 40 Class I Aerobic Treatment Units, NSF/ANSI Standard 245 Nitrogen Reduction, NSF/ANSI Standard 350 Class R Water Reuse Certified, EPA-ETV Environmental Technology Verified, European Union 12566-3 (Packaged and/or site assembled domestic wastewater treatment plants), IMO (International Maritime Organization) MARPOL 73/78 (50 BOD5, 50 TSS, 250 fecal) and MARPOL 2010 (25 BOD5, 35 TSS, 125 COD, 100 fecal) to protect the marine environment, “General Use Approval” rating for Nitrogen Reduction.
